Product Description
4S 14.8V 5000mAh 50C LiPo Battery - 74Wh Long-Range Drone Battery for Aerial Photography, Heavy Lift & Mapping UAVs, Airline Safe (<100Wh)
Features
-
Optimized for Maximum Flight Time: The 5000mAh capacity provides a significant boost in operational duration, making it the top choice for pilots who prioritize staying in the air longer over extreme agility.
-
High-Current Capability for Demanding Applications: With a 50C continuous discharge rating, it delivers substantial and stable power, suitable for heavy-lift drones, fast fixed-wing planes, and large-scale models that require sustained high current.
-
Airline Travel Compliant (Carry-On): At 74Wh, this battery comfortably falls under the almost universally accepted 100Wh limit for carry-on luggage on commercial airlines (always verify specific airline policies).
-
Superior Energy-to-Weight Ratio: Engineered to offer one of the best balances of capacity and weight in its class, maximizing efficiency for long-endurance missions.
-
Professional-Grade Construction: Features high-quality, low-impedance cells, thick silicone wires, and a robust XT60 connector to handle high currents reliably and minimize power loss.

Applications
- Long-Range & Heavy-Lift Drones: Professional aerial photography/videography drones (e.g., custom-built cinelifter platforms), agricultural drones, and industrial inspection UAVs.
- Aerial Surveying & Mapping Fixed-Wings: Provides extended flight time for covering large areas in a single flight.
- Large Scale RC Models: Giant-scale RC airplanes (3D aerobatic, scale), large helicopters, and high-speed electric boats.
- FPV Long-Range Exploration: For dedicated long-range FPV quadcopters or wings where flight time is the critical metric.
- High-Power Portable Equipment: Can serve as a reliable DC power source for field operations, high-intensity lighting, or prototyping.
Warnings & Precautions
Charging
- Charger Mandate: Use ONLY a programmable LiPo Balance Charger. Set to: Battery Type: LiPo, Cell Count: 4S (14.8V).
- Charge Rate: For safety and battery longevity, 1C (5.0A) is strongly recommended. Do not exceed 2C (10.0A) under any circumstances.
- Active Supervision is REQUIRED: NEVER charge unattended or overnight. Charge inside a certified LiPo safety bag or fireproof charging container placed on a non-flammable surface.
- Balance Charge is NON-NEGOTIABLE: EVERY SINGLE CHARGE must utilize both the main lead AND the 4S JST-XH balance plug to ensure all cells reach an equal voltage.
- Immediate Termination Conditions: STOP charging at once if you notice: swelling, excessive heat (case >50°C / 122°F), hissing, smoke, or any physical damage to the pack.
Discharging
- Absolute Voltage Limits: NEVER discharge below 12.0V (3.0V per cell). NEVER charge above 16.8V (4.2V per cell). Use a battery monitor or telemetry.
- Temperature Management: Operate between -10°C and 60°C. The optimal performance range is 15°C-40°C. Always allow the pack to cool to ambient temperature before charging.
- Physical Inspection: Before each use, visually and physically inspect for any signs of puffing, dents, punctures, or damaged wires/connectors. DO NOT USE A DAMAGED PACK.
- Short Circuit Prevention: ALWAYS keep protective caps on the main connector when not in use. Be extremely careful when handling to avoid the terminals touching any metal object.
- Environmental Protection: Keep the battery dry and away from moisture. Avoid leaving it in direct sunlight or in hot environments like a car on a sunny day.
Storage
- Storage State of Charge: For any storage period longer than 3 days, set the battery to Storage Voltage using your charger's function (3.80V-3.85V per cell / 15.2V-15.4V total). This is the single most important factor for long-term health.
- Safe Storage: Store in a cool, dry place (ideally 10°C-25°C / 50°F-77°F) inside a fireproof container. Do not store fully charged or fully depleted.
- Air Transportation: As a <100Wh battery, it is generally approved for carry-on air travel. Terminals MUST be insulated (use caps or tape). Quantity limits may apply; always check with your airline prior to travel.
