Warnings & Precautions
Charging
- Charger Requirement: Use ONLY a LiPo-specific balance charger capable of handling 4S batteries. Never use incorrect charger types.
- Active Supervision: Charge in a fire-safe area (on a LiPo bag, ceramic plate, or concrete) and NEVER leave unattended.
- Balance Charge Always: Connect both the main XT60 and the 4S JST-XH balance plug for every charge to ensure all cells charge evenly.
- Terminate Immediately: Stop charging if the battery becomes swollen, hot (>50°C / 122°F), emits odor, or shows physical damage.
Discharging
- Voltage Guardrails: DO NOT discharge below 12.0V (3.0V per cell). DO NOT charge above 16.8V (4.2V per cell).
- Physical Inspection: Do not use if the pack is deformed, punctured, leaking, or has damaged wires/connectors.
- Short Circuit Prevention: Always cap or tape unused connectors. Avoid contact between terminals with metal objects.
- Environment: Keep away from water, humidity, and direct heat sources.
Storage
- Storage Charge: For any storage period over 10 days, charge/discharge the battery to 3.8V - 3.85V per cell (15.2V - 15.4V total).
- Storage Location: Store in a cool, dry place (10°C - 25°C / 50°F - 77°F ideal). Use a non-conductive, fire-resistant container or LiPo safety bag.
