Product Description
High Capacity 2500mAh AA Battery, 1.2V Rechargeable Ni-MH for Flashlight
Features
-
High Energy Density: Offers one of the highest capacities available for a standard AA rechargeable cell, enabling extended device runtime.
-
Robust & Safe Chemistry: Ni-MH is inherently stable and contains no toxic heavy metals like cadmium (Cd), making it an environmentally friendly choice. It is more resistant to leakage than alkaline batteries under normal use.
-
Excellent High-Drain Performance: Capable of delivering high currents, making it suitable for power-hungry devices such as digital cameras and motorized toys, where alkaline batteries often fail prematurely.
-
Wide Operating Window: Performs reliably in a broad range of environmental conditions.

High-Drain Digital Electronics: Digital cameras (flash and motor drive), powerful LED flashlights, handheld gaming consoles, portable audio speakers.
-
Motorized Devices: Electric toothbrushes, RC toys, automated pet feeders.
-
Home & Office Essentials: Wireless computer peripherals (mice, keyboards), clocks, remote controls, smart home sensors.
-
Personal Care & Tools: Beard trimmers, blood glucose meters, laser pointers.
Warnings & Precautions
Charging
- Use a Smart Ni-MH Charger: ALWAYS use a quality charger specifically designed for Ni-MH chemistry. It must feature -ΔV (negative delta voltage) detection and/or temperature monitoring to terminate the charge accurately and prevent dangerous overcharging.
-
Avoid Dumb/Trickle Chargers: Do not use simple, timer-based or indefinite trickle chargers, as they can overcharge and damage high-capacity cells.
-
Charge in a Safe Environment: Charge in a well-ventilated area on a non-flammable surface. Do not cover the charger or batteries while charging.
Discharging
-
Avoid Deep Discharge: While tolerant, consistently discharging below 1.0V per cell will shorten lifespan. For best results, recharge batteries when device performance drops.
-
Use in Matched Sets: When using multiple cells in a device, they must be of the same brand, model, age, and charge state. Never mix old and new batteries or different chemistries.
-
Allow Cooling: After heavy use or fast charging, let the cells cool to near room temperature before recharging or storing.
- Optimal Storage Charge: For long-term storage (>1 month), store cells at a 40-60% state of charge (open-circuit voltage ~1.25V - 1.30V). Storing them fully charged increases performance loss.
-
Pre-Charge after Storage: After prolonged storage, a “refreshing” charge/discharge cycle may be needed to restore full capacity.
-
Physical Care: Do not puncture, crush, deform, or expose to fire. Keep terminals clean and free of debris.
