Warnings & Precautions

Charging


  • Dedicated Charger Required: Use ONLY an intelligent balance charger designed for LiPo (Li-ion Polymer) batteries. Never use chargers for NiMH, NiCd, or lead-acid batteries.
  • Active Supervision: Never charge unattended or overnight. Always charge in a fire-resistant location (e.g., on a concrete floor, inside a LiPo safety bag/container), away from flammable materials.
  • Post-Crash Inspection: After any hard impact or crash, DO NOT CHARGE the battery until it has been inspected for damage.


Discharging


  • Prevent Over-Discharge: Utilize your device’s Low-Voltage Cutoff (LVC) or a standalone battery alarm. Discharging below 12.0V (3.0V/cell) causes irreversible damage and creates a severe safety hazard.
  • Monitor Temperature and Load: Discontinue use immediately if the battery becomes hot to the touch (exceeding 60°C/140°F). Ensure your device's current draw does NOT exceed the battery's specified Maximum Continuous Discharge Current.
  • Avoid Short Circuits: Always cover terminals with insulating caps when not in use. Use extreme caution when connecting/disconnecting to prevent the positive and negative leads from touching each other or metal surfaces.

Storage
