Applications
- Medium-Lift Drones & UAVs: Ideal for agricultural monitoring, mapping, and commercial photography drones that require a reliable, high-capacity power source for extended missions.
- Freestyle Drones: Provides a robust energy reserve for demanding FPV quadcopters, balancing weight and power for aggressive flight maneuvers.
- Portable Power Stations & Custom Solutions: Serves as an excellent energy module for DIY power banks, mobile workstations, and emergency backup systems.
- High-Torque Electric Tools: Suitable for professional cordless equipment requiring high current bursts and longer operation periods.
Warnings & Precautions
Charging
- Dedicated Charger Required: Use ONLY an intelligent balance charger designed for LiPo (Li-ion Polymer) batteries. Never use chargers for NiMH, NiCd, or lead-acid batteries.
- Active Supervision: Never charge unattended or overnight. Always charge in a fire-resistant location (e.g., on a concrete floor, inside a LiPo safety bag/container), away from flammable materials.
- Post-Crash Inspection: After any hard impact or crash, DO NOT CHARGE the battery until it has been inspected for damage.
Discharging
- Prevent Over-Discharge: Utilize your device’s Low-Voltage Cutoff (LVC) or a standalone battery alarm. Discharging below 12.0V (3.0V/cell) causes irreversible damage and creates a severe safety hazard.
- Monitor Temperature and Load: Discontinue use immediately if the battery becomes hot to the touch (exceeding 60°C/140°F). Ensure your device's current draw does NOT exceed the battery's specified Maximum Continuous Discharge Current.
- Avoid Short Circuits: Always cover terminals with insulating caps when not in use. Use extreme caution when connecting/disconnecting to prevent the positive and negative leads from touching each other or metal surfaces.
- Routine Physical Inspection: Before and after each use, inspect for swelling (puffing), deformation, cracks, discoloration, or electrolyte leakage. IMMEDIATELY ISOLATE AND SAFELY DISPOSE of any damaged battery. DO NOT USE.
Storage
- Proper Storage Preparation: For any period of non-use exceeding 3 days, discharge/charge the battery to Storage Voltage (~15.2V or 3.8V/cell) using your charger's dedicated function.
- Safe Transportation: During transport, place each battery in an individual LiPo safety bag. Ensure terminals are insulated to prevent contact with other batteries or conductive materials.
- Responsible Disposal: Do not dispose of in household trash. For disposal, first fully discharge the battery (using a resistor or salt water method), then take it to a certified battery recycling center.
